A Date with Peak Oil

This is one of those articles that has a potential to scare the living daylights out of you and then either spur you into action, or have you throw your hands in the air and give up while muttering in exasperation. Peak oil is a term used to refer to the world’s production of oil peaking, then plateau and then decline ever after. In a world where our very civilization is based on oil flowing freely, this has alarming consequences. Do not dismiss this article as crackpot science. You would be doing yourself a disservice. Rather, treat this extremely seriously. Share it and engage in conversations with people. Ask your city councillors what are they ding about it. City of Vancouver is putting together a Peak Oil committee. Start making contingency plans. For the government you’ve been trusting to take care of you doesn’t give a rat’s ass about you.
