New Thinking on Climate Change

If you ever doubted the sense of urgency on the issue of Climate Change, if you thought “we still have perhaps 20 years to fix it, so let’s enjoy our lives in the meantime” - think again.
I would ask you - no, urge you - to take the 29 minutes to watch this condensed and updated short presentation on why we must rally as citizens and exercise our democratic rights, and demand eco justice and halt Climate Change.

What is at stake is nothing short of our very own survival.

If there was a war in our country, if there was economic collapse, if we had water shortage, if we had food crisis, if we even had regular power outages, we’d pay real attention. Well, unless we act now, all of those may be coming our way. Just because a storm is gathering doesn’t mean wishing it won’t come our way puts us out of harm’s way.

I know you are all busy living your lives - I know I am. And most of us even have kids - and we wish them well and hope they’ll have a good life and future. However we owe it to ourselves - we owe it to our children - to not pretend the Climate Crisis isn’t looming on the horizon. We have the opportunity to fix this - and I’ll be damned if I won’t do my utmost to turn the tide around. You can count on me. And I hope I can count on you too.

If you are still skeptical, think of it this way: If even just one doctor told you you have a 50% chance of developing a cancer in the upcoming months, what would you do? Would you say that that’s not enough evidence? Would you push it out of mind? Pretend, or hope things will be fine? Of course not. So why is our common future so different? Why gamble it away?
