Environmental Working Group Expands Skin Deep Database

Why should you care? Because we live in a chemical world. Because companies get away with putting extremely dangerous and carcinogen chemicals into everything you use and consume – without any repercussions. Nope, the government won’t protect you. Knowledge will protect you. The environmental working group is a well respected non-profit, non biased organization that I have the greatest respect for. They have helped me open my eyes and educate me when it comes to many different products I’d normally reach for in the super market. But no longer. Now I’m aware.
In their bid to inform the public, ewg has enlarged significantly their database of beauty and hygiene products. We have already switched everything from shampoos to soaps to makeup to deodorants to shaving creams from chokeful of carcinogen to completely chemical free. When will you be making the switch? You just owe it to yourself! (if you can, support ewg – they really could use your help, and it’s only thanks to organizations like them that we are still given a choice!)
Is all this too confusing? Don’t have enough time to make all the research? If you live in Vancouver, you might want to give a call or email my friend Jenn Barrett. For a reasonable consulting fee, she’ll come to your home, make an assessment and recommendations to help you switch from chemical to natural.

Excellent! Like I said, knowledge is power. If more people become educated, it *will* change the market place. And we owe it to ourselves to be healthy. I started to read a book “cradle to cradle” yesterday and was immediately mesmerized by it. It is such an easy read and it is awesome. I will report on the book later and make a short summary when I finish it. I am sure that you would enjoy it.
